The Dodge Community Builders, Inc., is an organization that maintains affordable apartments for the elderly and other individuals and families. The Fremont Municipal Airport, 35 miles southeast of Dodge, has a 5,500 foot lighted, hard-surfaced runway and a 2,295 foot hard-surfaced runway. Other facilities include hangars and maintenance. The Omaha Eppley Airfield, 75 miles southeast of Dodge, and the Sioux Gateway Airport at Sioux City, Iowa, 73 miles northeast, are the nearest major hubs for air transportation.

Barge service is available at 19 barge terminal facilites on the Missouri River on the east border of Nebraska. The Blair, Nebraska river port is 50 miles southeast of Dodge. These river ports are navigable approximately 8 months per year. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers maintains a 9-foot deep, 300-foot wide channel for 735 navigable miles from Sioux City, Iowa to the mouth of the Missouri River. Commodities transported by towing companies are alfalfa pellets, cement, concrete forms, distillers' dried grain, feed, feed ingredients, fertilizer, grain, machinery, molasses, newsprint, nitrogen fertilizer solution, propylene glycol, rock-aggregate, salt, steel, and twine.

The nearest rail service is located 35 miles away in Fremont, Nebraska. Fremont is stratically located on two Class I railroads which provide railservice. The most direct mid-continental railroad route to the west coast passes through Fremont and on to Los Angeles and San Francisco California. Both piggyback and container services are available in Omaha, Nebraska, 75 miles southeast of Dodge. The Union Pacific ramp is located on 8th and Mason Street in Omaha and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe ramp is located in south Omaha at the Gibson Yard. Each of these ramps maintain lift on and lift off TOFC/COFC capabilities, as well as providing pick up and delivery services.

The Fremont Area Medical Center, 35 miles southeast of Dodge, is a 262-bed health care facility with 100 hospital beds with private rooms and 162 beds of long-term care with private and semi-private rooms. Other nearby hospitals include St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point, 20 miles to the northeast, and Memorial Hospital in Schuyler, 28 miles southwest of Dodge.
